    Moon Milk with Ashwagandha, Nutmeg & Rose Petals

    A time-honored Ayurvedic sleep ritual – warming plant-based milk with adaptogenic herbs, spices and a touch of magic. Moon Milk calms the nervous system, promotes restful sleep and naturally supports hormonal balance.

    Ingredients (for 1 serving)

    Base:

    250 ml Almond or oat milk (unsweetened, warm)
    ½ tsp Ashwagandha powder (organic)
    ¼ tsp Cinnamon
    1 pinch Nutmeg (freshly grated)
    1 tsp Ghee or almond butter (optional, for Vata)
    1 tsp Date syrup or ½ Medjool date

    For the aroma:

    1 tsp Rose water (food-grade)
    2–3 Edible rose petals or blossoms (dried or fresh)
    1 pinch Vanilla (optional)

    Preparation (approx. 10 minutes)

    Heat the milk: Slowly warm the plant-based milk in a small pot – do not boil!
    Stir in ingredients: Add Ashwagandha, cinnamon, nutmeg, ghee (optional) and sweetener. Stir well or froth with an immersion blender.
    Refine & serve: Remove from heat, stir in rose water and vanilla. Pour into a cup and garnish with rose petals.

    Ayurveda Tips:

    Best time: Shortly before bedtime – as an evening ritual or after evening meditation.

    Constitution: Particularly calming for Vata and Pitta – nourishing, balancing, sleep-promoting; Kapha can omit ghee or choose lighter milk alternatives.

    Tip: Enjoy wrapped in a warm blanket – ideal for restful sleep and gentle dreams.
