Cosmoveda - BIO Mandukaparni Capsules

Mandukaparni, the Indian water hyssop or by botanical name Centella asiatica, is a perennial plant that prefers swampy environments. The plant grows with delicate, herbaceous growth with a stem that creeps along the ground, preferring areas near rice fields. At the stem nodes, the plant bears both leaves and roots. It produces small red to white flowers and oval to spherical fruits. In Ayurvedic nutrition, the leaves are used. The finely and gently ground powder (below 40°C) of the dried leaves comes from Indian and Sri Lankan Fair Trade and organic projects.

Mandukaparni, Gotu-Kola or Brahmi? Simply Centella!

Centella asiatica is also called Brahmi in Ayurveda, which can lead to confusion with the other Brahmi herb Bacopa monniera. You can also get Centella asiatica as a powder from Miraherba or under its other name Gotu-Kola as Ayurvedic herbal capsules from Himalaya. As Centella, it is used in natural cosmetics from Khadi, for example in the Centella oil.

Recommended Dosage

Take 4 capsules of 0.34 g each (0.24 g net herb powder content) three times daily. The daily intake corresponds to 2.88 g of herb powder. The recommended daily amount should not be exceeded.
