OPC from Grape Seeds
Oligomeric proanthocyanidins, also called oligomeric procyanidins and abbreviated as OPC, are naturally occurring substances found in plants that belong to the flavonoid group and are classified among the superior polyphenols. OPC is found especially in grape seeds, the skin and foliage of red grapes, in the red skins of peanuts, in coconuts, in apples and in the bark of maritime pine. The skins and seeds as well as the seed casings in particular contain high amounts of OPC.
Vitamin C from Acerola Cherries
The tart fruits of the acerola (Malpighia glabra) are among the fruits with one of the highest vitamin C content. Vitamin C, also called ascorbic acid, is probably the most well-known of all vitamins. It is found especially in fresh fruits and vegetables, is involved in many metabolic processes, and protects cells from aggressive oxygen compounds (free radicals). Vitamin C also plays an important role in the formation of collagen, the most common protein in the human body and an important component of our connective tissue.
