A Nasya treatment is important for all conditions above the collarbone. This method is extremely effective and achieves not only immediate success but also allows for permanent healing. Since the nasal opening is the gateway to the head area, it is the best way to deliver the potency of the remedies to the cranial region.

Nasya Treatment Process

1. Facial massage with warm oil – depending on the condition
2. Inhalation with Ajowain – add 1 teaspoon ground to a bowl of hot water, hold your head covered with a towel over it and inhale for about 10 minutes
3. Application of nasal drops such as Janu Taila or Shadvindu Nasya (up to 8-16 drops per nostril - depending on the severity of the condition and the patient's strength); it is inhaled through the nose and expelled through the mouth
4. Possibly additional "oil pulling" (oil is moved back and forth in the mouth for several minutes) with sesame oil

The treatment is performed over several days; at least on 3 consecutive days and can extend to up to 14 consecutive days.

This treatment should under no circumstances be used in case of acute sinusitis!

After Panchakarma cleansing, it is important to prevent a new accumulation of Kapha at the weak point in the body. This includes the regular use of the oils (with one drop per nostril) over an individual period. For example, if someone has had hay fever or chronic sinus problems for 15 years, then the application needs to be continued over a longer period.
