Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) consists of a complex of active ingredients summarised under the term silymarin. Silymarin promotes digestion, supports the regeneration of liver cells and protects the cell interior of the liver. Milk thistle also contains ingredients such as essential oils and bitter substances.

The liver not only plays an important role in digestion, but also in detoxifying the body. If the liver has a lot to do, digestive function may be impaired.
