An excess of Kapha can create a feeling of discomfort or congestion. Ayurveda recommends, in addition to herbal treatments, the use of numerous spices in the diet, as well as exercise and cleansing cures to eliminate excess Kapha. Spices and herbs are of central importance in a complete Ayurvedic diet, as they positively influence many body functions.
Application
1/2 - 1 tsp with ghee or with the first bite of a meal.
Alternatively, stir 1 tsp with 2 cm finely chopped fresh turmeric and 1 tsp honey and take it before lunch, followed by warm water.
