Effects of Herbal Steam Bath Cleansing

Origins of Yoni Steaming
The word Yoni comes from Sanskrit and means vulva. Steaming the vulva and vagina with herbal decoction is a method practiced not only in Asia but also in many cultures of Central America and Africa to strengthen and maintain the health of the vagina.
Note: Pregnant women, especially those with a risk of premature birth, should not perform yoni steam baths.
How to Use the Yoni Steam Bath
Add 25g of the herbal mixture to a small pot of boiling water and let the pot with the lid closed sit on the hot stovetop for a few more minutes.
If you have a steaming box, place the pot with the herbal decoction in the box and sit on the opening.
Alternatively, place the pot at the bottom of the toilet. Sit on it and wrap a towel around your hips if necessary to prevent the steam from escaping.
The duration depends on your comfort level and ranges between 5 and 15 minutes.
Important: Make sure there is sufficient distance between you and the hot steam! If the steam feels uncomfortably hot, simply wait until the herbal decoction has cooled down a bit.
