Effects of Regenerating Herbal Steam Bath
Regenerating for skin, tissue and organs. The Yoni steam bath can support the healing process after an infection or following vaginal delivery. Mothers can also benefit from a regenerating Yoni steam after caesarean section delivery.
Origin of Yoni Steaming
The word Yoni comes from Sanskrit and means vulva. The steaming of the vulva and vagina with herbal infusions is a method practiced not only in Asia, but also in many cultures of Central America and Africa to strengthen and maintain vaginal health.
Note: Pregnant women, particularly those with a risk of premature birth, should not use Yoni steam baths.
How to Use the Yoni Steam Bath
Add 25g of the herbal mixture to a small pot of boiling water and leave the pot with the lid closed on the hot stovetop for a few minutes.
If you have a steaming box, place the pot with the herbal infusion in the box and sit over the opening.
Alternatively, place the pot at the bottom of the toilet. Sit on it and wrap a towel around your hips if needed to prevent steam from escaping.
The duration depends on your comfort level and ranges between 5 and 15 minutes.
Important: Make sure there is sufficient distance between you and the hot steam! If the steam feels uncomfortably hot, simply wait until the herbal infusion has cooled down a bit.
