How to Use Amalaki Rasayana
Best in the morning: stir 1-2 teaspoons of Amalaki Rasayana into some warm milk and drink.
You can also use it like jam - as a bread spread or add it to yogurt, muesli, etc.
What is Amalaki Rasayana?
The term Amalaki comes from Sanskrit. It describes the fruit of the Amla tree and translates to: "The fruit in which the deity of prosperity is embodied." The fruits are considered an embodiment of Amrita, the divine nectar of immortality. In the ancient Indian Vedas, Amrita is listed as a life-extending elixir.
Is it any wonder then that Amla Rasayana, alongside Chyavanprash, forms the most significant Rasayana of all? Amalaki is also the most important ingredient in Chyavanprash. You will hardly find anyone in India who hasn't tried Amalaki at least once. For many Indians, it forms the foundation of a healthy diet.
Amalaki contains all five tastes. However, a sour, astringent, sweet flavor dominates. The pepper in our Amalaki Rasayana adds a slightly spicy note that not only rounds out the flavor beautifully. In India, Amla is enjoyed on an empty stomach. Usually in the form of a delicious chutney. Typically before the actual meal. Dried Amla is usually served after the meal.
Nimi Amalaki Rasayana tastes excellent on its own. It is also a delicious bread spread. It can be an alternative to jam.
