The shea soaps by Savon du Midi are made in Provence, France. Palm, coconut, and olive oils are used to create the base soap. They are free from animal fats, antioxidants, preservatives, or EDTA (chelating agents). The plant oil soaps by Savon du Midi are produced in small soap manufactories, using traditional expertise in the tradition of Marseille plant oil soaps. The plant oils are from certified organic cultivation, and the fragrance is a combination of natural essential oils with fragrance substances. Shea butter is traditionally obtained in Africa from the nuts of the shea tree (Butyrospermum Parkii), also called Shea Butter. Its skin-care benefits have been well-known there for a long time.
