Sonett - Vegan Core Soap

Sonett Core Soap is made without fillers, colorants, fragrances, optical brighteners, and most importantly without petrochemical chelating agents such as EDTA. It is well-aged before being sold; this extends its durability. The slightly yellowish coloring of the core soap with storage over several years is a sign of the purely natural quality of this product and does not impair its quality and cleaning power in any way.

Manufacturing

Soap as a cleaning-active substance is obtained by simply boiling fats with lye. Each fat base has somewhat different properties due to its different origin. Coconut soap has very good cleaning power even in cold and hard water, and soap made from palm oil provides the necessary hardness to the soap, which prevents it from softening quickly when the soap has been on a wet surface for a longer time.

Biological Degradation

As the only cleaning-active substance, soap loses its surface-tension-reducing properties immediately upon contact with lime and thereby becomes non-toxic to living organisms in water (primary degradation). Since lime is always present in our water, this happens immediately after use. The resulting lime soap is then completely broken down by microorganisms into carbon dioxide and water (secondary degradation). Soap is therefore classified as readily biodegradable according to OECD.

Application

For household and workshop use and everywhere a durable, effective hand soap without any additives is needed.

The soap is slightly alkaline in application. pH value: (20°C, 5 g/l H2O) approx. 9–9.5. Keep out of reach of children; store preferably between 10° and 25°C. Short-term temperature fluctuations above or below these limits can be tolerated without damage to the product.
