The first signs of spring are already here, and the sun is stretching its golden rays towards us earlier and earlier. We at Miraherba think it's time to gently wake you up from your winter slumber! And what could be better suited for this than fresh shower baths with naturally herbal scents and energizing massages? To lovingly get your circulation going through brushing and circular motions and to support detoxification through your skin, we're giving you two effective massage guides for dry massage with cloister brush and Garshan gloves that you can easily use at home!
The essentials at a glance
- Dry massages are invigorating, promote blood circulation, and are relaxing.
- Garshan silk gloves are suitable for sensitive skin and are washable.
- The cloister brush creates an invigorating massage through a special copper alloy.
Dry massage with Garshan gloves or cloister brush
Both dry massages, whether you use the cloister brush or the Garshan silk glove, are invigorating, promote blood circulation, and are relaxing. The brush massage with the cloister brush is somewhat firmer and more energizing than the silk glove massage with the Garshan silk glove. The silk glove massage is somewhat gentler and is also suitable for people with sensitive skin.
Thanks to the peeling effect, both refresh your skin that rarely gets air during the winter and promote an even complexion. A daily application of five to ten minutes is not only fun and centering, but also makes you and your skin radiant and supports detoxification during your spring cleanse!
Important: Constant dripping wears away the stone. As with many things, we recommend regular use here too. Massages support you during your cleanse, but can certainly also be continued beyond that!
Garshan gloves made from raw silk
The Garshan silk glove is a fine massage glove made from high-quality raw silk that is used in Ayurveda practice to remove toxins and residue from the upper layers of tissue. The massage with the Garshan silk glove is usually performed as a dry massage, so it comes without oil, soap, or water. The natural silk gently exfoliates the skin, removes dead skin cells, and invigorates without irritating the skin - quite the opposite: after the massage, your skin is especially receptive to oil treatments, such as an Abhyanga massage.
Feel free to use the Garshan gloves for self-massage or to treat someone else.
Tip: The silk gloves are also practical because they can be washed at temperatures up to 40°C!
Massage guide for an invigorating silk glove massage
What you need
- Garshan silk gloves
- Comfortable clothing
Step by step
- First the legs: Begin on the outside of the legs and massage with light pressure from the hip down to the outer ankle. Then flow over the sole of the foot and up the inside of the legs.
- Then the arms: Stretch out one arm and stroke from the back of your hand up to the shoulder, then flow over the armpit down the inside of your arm to your palm.
- Finally the rest of the body: Massage your shoulders, neck, belly, and chest in circular motions. Then continue over your back to your buttocks and back up to your shoulder and down.
What to pay attention to
It helps to adjust your breathing to support the movements: Exhale when the movements go towards the periphery (to the hands, to the feet, down to the hips). Inhale when your movement goes towards the heart. If you like, you can gently and in circular motions massage your face at the end. While it's not explicitly recommended in dry massage, I love it and really want to suggest it to you!
The cloister brush: For those who like it vigorous
The unique effect of the cloister brush is based on the special copper alloy of the bristles. During brush massage, the bronze bristles generate a tiny current through friction that immediately relaxes the brushed areas and revitalizes the entire body. If you have allergies to copper or tin, please do not use the brush!
